About your next role
As a Hydraulic Systems Technician, you will be responsible for a variety of technical and mechanical tasks to ensure the highest standards of system performance. Your duties will include:
- Troubleshooting and working with load sense, closed loop, and open loop hydraulic circuits.
- Performing mechanical tasks associated with machinery repair and the manufacture of equipment.
- Interpreting hydraulic schematic drawings to guide your work.
- Conducting welding repairs using TIG, MIG, and Stick equipment.
- Identifying and interpreting spare parts requirements for various jobs.
- Completing detailed, high-standard reports and accurate quotes for customers.
- Traveling to remote job sites to complete essential projects.
- Supervising sub-contractors and assisting in the training of apprentices.
- Implementing job plans to ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
What you will need to bring
To be successful in this role, you should possess a blend of technical proficiency and a proactive attitude toward your professional growth. We look for:
- Hands-on experience with key hydraulic products such as Bosch Rexroth, Eaton, Danfoss, or Parker.
- The ability to operate lathes and other machining equipment.
- Strong diagnostic skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex hydraulic circuits.
- A self-motivated approach to learning and a commitment to ongoing training.
- Excellent communication skills for reporting and customer interaction.
- A collaborative spirit, ready to assist in training staff and maintaining a clean, safe workshop.
Mandatory Requirements
- Relevant trade qualification in Mechanical or Hydraulic Engineering.
- Valid driver’s license (required for remote site travel).
- Proven experience in hydraulic system maintenance and repair.
